Low oil carryover and stable energy use start with a high-load separation core. 6.4272.2 is a top-hat style coalescing lube-air separation cartridge for Kaeser rotary screw compressors. Using multi-layer borosilicate glass fiber media with anti-static support screens, it captures sub-micron oil aerosols from the compressed air stream and returns clean lubricant to the sump while keeping discharge air pure.

A saturated or collapsed core drives rising differential pressure, oily downstream air, wasted lubricant, higher power draw, and faster fouling of dryers and valves. Blocked return paths or static buildup make carryover worse. During service: depressurize the vessel, drain oil, extract the spent 6.4272.2, wipe the housing, fit the new cartridge with fresh gasket and ground strap, reseal the cover, refill oil, then verify dp and sealing under load. Match flange OD, height (~525mm), and center bore to the original.
