Product Introduction
Compressed air looks clean at the outlet; what hides in it is water vapor, oil aerosol, and sub-micron dust that will wreck instruments, paint lines, and pneumatic tools over time. The pairing 2901200319 (DD360) and 2901200419 (PD360) — often listed together as a DD360/PD360 service set for Atlas Copco’s DD/PD coalescing/filtration stages — strips fine liquid/oil mist and particulates from the air stream after the separator and cooler. DD handles the coarser coalescing duty; PD targets the finer residual aerosol/particle cut to protect downstream processes.
A loaded element does not usually “blow up” — it drives differential pressure up, cuts free air delivery, makes dryers work harder, and lets oil carry forward into valves and finish equipment. Change on DP alarm or service interval; in oily/wet or dusty upstream conditions, change sooner. During fitting, relieve pressure, drain the housing, wipe sealing surfaces, fit the new element square, and seat the O-ring/end seal without pinching — most post-change leaks come from a twisted seal, not the media.
Confirm housing size (360 series), stage order (DD before PD in the normal coalescing chain), and machine/air-treatment model/serial before dispatch; DD and PD elements and their 40/60/90°C/other service kits are not interchangeable by appearance. Also called coalescing filter element, air line filter, DD/PD filter cartridge, oil mist filter
