Operating Procedures for Refrigerated Air Dryer

I. Precautions
It is strictly prohibited to start the refrigerated air dryer after starting the air compressor.
It is strictly prohibited to stop the air compressor after shutting down the refrigerated air dryer.

Avoid frequent short-interval start-stop operation of the refrigerated air dryer. A minimum interval of 10 minutes is required 

between each startup to prevent damage to the refrigeration compressor.

Avoid prolonged no-load operation of the refrigerated air dryer as far as possible.
When shutting down the equipment, manually open the drain valve to completely discharge residual condensed water.
II. Startup Procedure
Switch on the power and close the air circuit breaker; the red power indicator on the equipment panel will light up.

Press the green start button, the contactor will pull in, and the green startup indicator will illuminate. After 5 minutes, the green startup indicator turns off, 

the compressor starts to operate, and the green running indicator lights up.

Check whether the compressor runs normally without abnormal noise. Verify that the reading on the refrigerant low-pressure gauge drops to approximately 0.5 MPa (for R22 refrigerant).
If all conditions are normal, open the air inlet valve and air outlet valve of the dryer in sequence, then close the air bypass valve. The air pressure gauge will display the outlet air pressure.

Observe the equipment for 5–10 minutes. The compressed air treated by the refrigerated air dryer can reach the designed pressure dew point. 

The normal operating range of refrigerant high and low pressure for R22 is listed below:

R22 Low-side Pressure: 0.3–0.6 MPa
R22 High-side Pressure: 1.2–1.8 MPa
Slowly open the brass ball valve fitted on the automatic drainer to allow condensed water in the airflow to flow into the drainer and be discharged out of the equipment.
III. Shutdown Procedure
Press the red stop button to shut down the refrigerated air dryer, cut off the power supply, open the manual drain valve, and drain all residual condensed water.
Confirm that the air pressure gauge of the dryer returns to zero.
