Post-Treatment Equipment: The "Liver" of Compressed Air Power Source

Manufacturing underpins the nation. Amid the wave of Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025, the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry is inevitable.

A wide range of intelligent equipment and industrial automation systems drive the manufacturing sector to shift from high-speed growth to high-quality development.

Compressed air is the second largest power energy source next to electricity. Nevertheless, due to historical and technical constraints,

the quality of compressed air used in most domestic manufacturing enterprises fails to meet relevant standards at present.

As a major manufacturing country, if the quality of compressed air — the fundamental power source for production equipment — is substandard,

how can manufacturers guarantee qualified product quality? How can Made in China break away from the awkward predicament of "large scale yet weak competitiveness"?

If air compressors are regarded as the "heart" generating compressed air, then compressed air post-treatment equipment serves as the "liver" of this power source.

As we all know, the liver is a vital human organ and the body’s defender; human beings cannot survive without a liver. The liver is also known as the body’s "processing plant".

It converts toxic substances into non-toxic or low-toxic substances. In particular, particulate antigens will be engulfed, decomposed and eliminated once they pass through the liver.

Without a healthy liver, the human body cannot effectively resist harmful substances or perform detoxification and toxin excretion. Toxins will accumulate inside the body.

Although this may not cause sudden death, it will lead to low spirits, and endanger life over time.

By analogy, compressed air also requires "detoxification and purification". If this industrial "liver" is unqualified, contaminants such as moisture, oil and dust in compressed air cannot be removed efficiently.

This will trigger malfunctions and shorten the service life of cylinders, solenoid valves, pneumatic tools and other equipment, severely disrupt production processes,

push up product defect and scrap rates, raise operating costs and weaken enterprises’ overall competitiveness.

How can manufacturing enterprises obtain a qualified industrial "liver"?

Admittedly, many manufacturing operators attach great importance to product quality and are willing to invest heavily in advanced automated equipment.

However, they overlook whether compressed air — the power supply driving automated equipment — meets quality requirements.

Sufficient attention has long been paid to compressed air standards overseas with corresponding specifications for compliance, while awareness in China remains insufficient.

Quality requirements for compressed air used in instruments and automatic control systems can be found in ISO 8573‑1 (equivalent to GB/T13277-91 Compressed Air for General Use — Quality Classes).

This standard classifies compressed air quality based on four indicators: size and concentration of solid particles, water vapor content and oil content.

Mr. Guo Yinghui, founder of Beiten Technology, has devoted more than 20 years to research and development in the compressed air purification equipment industry.

The Beiten Modular Desiccant Dryer represents cutting-edge technology for adsorption dryers. Its technology is one generation ahead of the British DH modular adsorption dryer.

It solves the problem of separate integral replacement of adsorbents in traditional adsorption dryers, enabling sustained and stable compliance of compressed air quality.

The company holds 62 patents, including 6 globally original invention patents. The equipment can deliver a stable pressure dew point ranging from -40°C to -70°C,

reaching Class 1 and Class 2 levels specified in industry standards. It satisfies compressed air quality requirements across diverse industries and ensures the industrial "liver" operates healthily and up to standard.

Beiten has delivered more than 11,000 units, helping over 1,000 end users achieve consistent, qualified compressed air.
