02250117-782 Return Pipe Filter Service Kit is a  service kit for the oil return line filter on oil-injected rotary screw air compressors. It cleans the separated oil as it flows back from the oil separator tank to the air-end, keeping abrasive dirt out of the rotor chamber and protecting the precision screw profiles.

Function

After compressed air enters the separator tank, the coalesced oil drops to the bottom and is drawn back to the air-end through the return line — this filter sits in that return path. It traps carbon deposits, oil sludge and pipe debris so they cannot circulate back into the screw rotors.

When the element clogs or seals harden:

• Oil return flow is restricted — the air-end runs low on oil
• Bearing and rotor lubrication suffers, raising running temperature
• Unfiltered debris scratches the screw profiles, lowering compression efficiency
• Excess carryover oil enters the air system
